Excerpt from “Photograph.”

“I spent so much time building myself back up; days, months, years. I used to dream of being myself again; that wanderlust filled, wide-eyed girl in the pictures on my bedroom wall. It never occurred to me that who I used to be isn’t who I am now. I’ve grown. I’ve changed. I’ve lived. I don’t recognize the girl in the photograph on my wall anymore. Instead, my reflection is someone new. Someone I’m still getting to know. Someone worth getting to know.”

A small excerpt from “Photograph” by Kate Myers (myself.)
